Being a Star Wars fan and eventually a video gamer, I found the wonderful category of Star Wars games. One of my favorites that I have played is Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast. There is not much cooler than learning Force powers and pummeling Stormtroopers with lightning.
Another great series is Lego Star Wars. Sure it’s not that challenging, but there is something satisfying about being so many different characters, such as Boba Fett, Darth Maul, and Wicket.
Who can forget the Star Wars Episode 1: Podracer for the N64? That game was quite difficult, but very fun as well. Podracing was the best part of Episode 1, but even better is racing the pods yourself.
A surprisingly good Star Wars game is Republic Commandos. Think Halo+Star Wars. I have played through the game twice and enjoyed it greatly.
Most of these games you can purchase on Steam, but wait until they go on sale. I got Jedi Outcast for one dollar. And I’ve played through it twice. The Lego Star Wars games should be played on the Wii, so that you can swing the Wiimote for a more interactive flavor.
